Method 1 – clean up Downloads folder
In the daily use of Mac computer, people always need to download files and applications online, and the Downloads folder is the common place that stores these downloaded items. However, there is another big fact that many people do not check the Downloads folder and clean it regularly. So, many of you may get a large amount of files and apps in this folder. Therefore, please check the folder, and clean those things you don’t use from it.
Method 2 – uninstall those apps you don’t use
Some applications may be installed for a particular need of the user, after then they may be rarely used and continue to take up the limited space of the hard disk, in this case, you should go to check all of programs in the Applications folder, and choose to remove the one you do not use anymore on PC, and an uninstall utility may be very helpful for you.
Method 3 – Empty the Trash
Mac OS X provides a very simple removing feature for the users, and people can easily remove an item via moving it to the Trash. However, they often forget to empty the Trash and let the deleted content still be let on the PC, so you should clean the Trash regularly if you often need to delete something on the computer: right-click on the Trash >>> select “Empty the Trash”
