Apple said to unite cloud teams as it takes on Google, Amazon
It is reported that Apple may carry out activities to unite its cloud services teams under one roof in order to compete with Google and Amazon.
The world-leading tech giant wishes to pull together Siri, Maps, iCloud, Apple Pay, Apple News, iTunes and Apple Music to its headquarters locates in Cupertino, California, just reported by Bloomberg on Thursday.
The teams still work separately in different locations currently, and develop their products remotely. It seems to be helpful to solve software bugs and product release issues, mentioned in the report.
Apple still hasn’t commented for the reports.
The move is considered to be motivated by an impetus to compete with another two tech giants of the world, Google and Amazon, especially on the cloud-based related services. Apple currently wishes to pull the cloud services team together digitally, reported by Bloomberg.
A project named Pie is said to assist in Apple to boost its improvement for the cloud services, offering faster loading times and more control by establishing a platform for all the services. Siri, iTunes and Apple News have already been moved to Pie, sources told Bloomberg.
